ABOUT

This is a collaborative project where all the students create a zoo within the classroom. It was designed for kindergarten students.  The main goals are for students to be able to:

1. Collaborate to build a zoo.

2. Collaborate in smaller groups to do research on their chosen animal and create enclosures for these animals.

3. Collaborate on making posters for the opening of the zoo.

4. Identify, classify and describe different animals and their habitats. 

5. Describe what animals need to survive in terms of the food they eat and their habitat. 

6. Think critically about what goes into making a zoo / how do you start a zoo.
